Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Commercial Account Manager at our office in Florissant, MO. The Commercial Account Manager will manage client accounts, build and maintain relationships, and ensure clients’ insurance needs are met. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing account renewals, addressing client inquiries, preparing insurance proposals, coordinating with insurance carriers, and providing exceptional customer service. The role also involves identifying opportunities to expand services and support client growth.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary daily contact for commercial insurance clients, ensuring questions and needs are handled promptly and professionally.
- Review client requests, gather necessary information, and provide accurate, timely responses that support smooth account operations.
- Build ongoing rapport through consistent communication, proactive service, and a strong understanding of each client’s coverage needs.
- Track policy expirations, coordinate renewal activities, and ensure clients receive updated options and recommendations ahead of deadlines.
- Collect underwriting information, complete required documents, and assemble clean, accurate submissions and proposals for carrier review.
- Work closely with account managers, producers, and support teams to ensure consistent service delivery and accurate policy handling.
- Stay informed on market trends, coverage updates, and regulatory changes to better advise clients and support internal decision‑making.
Qualifications:
- Proven skills in Account Management and a strong ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Exceptional Customer Service and Communication skills to effectively address client needs and concerns.
- Knowledge of Insurance practices and policies, and a strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.
- Proficiency in Sales techniques to identify growth opportunities and drive client engagement.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities to effectively manage multiple accounts.
- Proficiency with insurance software and CRM platforms is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role or in the insurance industry is highly desirable.
