Lange Logistics is currently looking for an Operations Manager to join our Team
Lange Logistics is seeking an experienced the Operations Manager who will be responsible for leading and overseeing daily logistics and transportation operations to ensure exceptional service delivery, operational efficiency, safety, and profitability. This role manages personnel, processes, and performance metrics while driving continuous improvement initiatives across transportation, dispatch, and customer service functions. The Operations Manager serves as a key leader in maintaining compliance, optimizing resources, and supporting strategic growth objectives for Lange Logistics.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee day-to-day logistics, transportation, and distribution operations.
- Ensure efficient movement of freight while maintaining service quality standards and customer expectations.
- Develop, implement, and monitor operational processes to increase productivity and reduce costs.
- Evaluate workflow processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement action plans to improve operational and financial results.
- Oversee order entry processes and ensure all customer orders are entered, processed, and executed accurately.
- Ensure shipment documentation, proofs of delivery, and transportation records are secured, maintained, and completed within established service-level expectations.
- Monitor order status and delivery confirmations to ensure timely updated within transportation and customer management system.
- Drive process improvements that enhance order accuracy, shipment visibility, and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain strong relations with carriers, customers, and key business partners to support operational success and growth.
- Serve as a key escalation point for customer and carrier concerns. Ensuring prompt resolution and maintaining high service standards.
- Partner closely with Account Managers to support customer requirements and identify opportunities for operational improvements.
- Maintain consistent communication with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders regarding shipments, service issues, and operations performance.
- Support business development efforts by strengthening carrier networks and customer relationships.
- Ability to help Sales Team identify carriers for shipments and negotiate pricing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 5+ years of progressive logistics, transportation, distribution, or operations management experience.
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong understanding of transportation, fleet, and supply chain operations.
- Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and transportation compliance regulations.
- Experience analyzing operational metrics and performance data.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and logistics software platforms.
- Working knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing processes, and inventory reconciliation.
- Experience in freight brokerage, transportation, 3PL, or logistics operations environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
